ALERT LEVEL 2 CONTACT TRACING REMINDER
Hi team. Please remind yourself with our contact tracing procedures during ALERT LEVEL 2. Contact tracing continues to be an incredibly important part of New Zealand’s response to COVID-19. Recording who comes on-site means we can work with health authorities to identify who had been in close contact with that person, if there was a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19 in our school community. As a result, under ALERT LEVEL 2, we need to contact trace EVERYBODY who comes onto our SCHOOL GROUNDS.
Procedure - Accessing Rolleston School
- If possible we ask that you do not access the school site (this includes drop offs and pick ups of your children), instead we encourage you to call the office or email the most appropriate staff member as opposed to coming onsite. We encourage online payments only, no cash payments will be accepted.
- If you enter the school grounds you will be required to:
1. Scan the NZ GOVT. QR Code. These are located on the gates into the school and all key buildings.
2. Complete a hard copy contact register which will be positioned at every entry point into the school along with applying supplied hand sanitiser. This register MUST be completed EVERYTIME you enter Rolleston School.
- PLEASE NOTE: Students will not be required to sign in or apply hand sanitiser upon arrival to school. We already have procedures in place for the tracking and sanitising of our students.
- We ask that you do not enter a classroom space if you don't need to.
- We also ask that you leave the school site as quickly as possible and avoid social catch ups with others on the school grounds.
- Entry to the school administration building is restricted to three visitors, including parents/caregivers, at any one time. Entry will be monitored by Admin staff.
- If you need to come onto the school site between the hours of 9am - 3pm (other than dropping off or picking up your child at normal pick up/drop off time) you MUST report to the Office to sanitise and complete the contact tracing register.
Please note: if you are entering the school grounds for any other reason than drop-offs and pick-ups you are required to report to the school office as noted above.
We do also ask you or other family members who need to come on the school site during Alert Level 2 to support our students and staff by wearing a mask.
Under Alert Level 2 we all continue to play an important part in protecting the Health and Safety of everyone. We thank you in advance for supporting us with this system.
Many thanks
