Pink Shirt Day 2020

Simon Moriarty —

Last Friday Te Ahi Kaikōmako Rolleston School joined people across Aotearoa to take action against bullying and fundraise to support the kaupapa. This supports our school values and our developing E Tū Tāngata mindset of "You Have Value", "We Succeed Together" and "Others Matter".

With your support we were able to raise over $800.00 to go towards this worthwhile cause.  Every dollar raised will help us to provide free Pink Shirt Day activities, resources, merchandise and workshops to continue to help make our schools safe and inclusive for everyone.

We would also like to thank Emma Prestage of FOG Food, who supported the cause through the selling of Pink Shirt Day cookies AND sponsoring a free morning tea for the best dressed "pink" classroom.

The student judges have decided upon the following winners:

Best Dressed Class: Studio 9

Best Dressed Staff: Mrs Mutu, Miss Heaphy, Miss Greenwood & Mrs McCormack

Thank you once again to all the students, staff and parents/caregivers who supported such an important event.
