Hi team, As I sit here and write my final newsletter article of the year it has been great to celebrate the fact that we have had a year without any COVID interruptions. Our first one in three years!!!! As I sit and reflect upon the year we have had this I am filled with a strong sense of pride and gratitude for the connectiveness, respect, responsibility, and most of all kindness we continue to display. Through these values, we continue to grow our E Tū Tangata mindset and 2023 has been the perfect year once again to show "You Have Value", "We Succeed Together" and "Others Matter".
Firstly, I would like to acknowledge the Te Ahi Kaikōmko Rolleston School staff for the amazing work they have done this year. Thank you for all you have done in providing quality learning programmes and additional opportunities for our students. Thank you for the ongoing support you have provided me, other staff, and the Te Ahi Kaikōmko Rolleston School community.
As mentioned in a previous newsletter, a huge farewell to our leaving staff Emma, Casey, Bradley, and Maria, thank you for the massive contributions you have all made to Te Ahi Kaikōmko Rolleston School. We are excited to welcome on board our new staff in 2024. As mentioned we are super stoked to welcome Madi Taylor to Te Ahi Kaikōmako Rolleston School, and welcome back Mel Falkingham..
A huge acknowledgment to the Te Ahi Kaikōmako Rolleston School Board of Trustees, especially our Chairperson Gordon Narbey, for all their support and hard work this year. It is great to work alongside a group of people who always put the needs of our students and staff at the forefront of the decisions they make.
To the Te Ahi Kaikōmako Rolleston School PTA, I would like to send my sincere thanks for all of your efforts this year. Special mention must go to Fiona Morland for her leadership and commitment to the Te Ahi Kaikōmako Rolleston School PTA.
Finally, we are so very lucky to be working alongside such passionate and kind students who live by our Te Ahi Kaikōmako Rolleston School values. Best of luck to our leaving Year 8 students. Thank you for your positive contribution to Te Ahi Kaikōmako Rolleston School. All the best for next year and beyond.
I wish you all a very safe and enjoyable holiday break and am excited about the 2024 year ahead. Just a reminder that school finishes for the year at 12.30 pm Tuesday 19th December and restarts for the 2024 year on Wednesday 31st January at 8.55 am. Have a great break.
Cheers
