You Have Value - Homegrown Heroes

Simon Moriarty —

WOW!!! Such an awesome whole kura hui (whole school assembly) this morning! It was great to see so many whānau watching and celebrating our tamarisk with us!

Our new Kapa Haka uniforms are exquisite and it was awesome to see our kapa haka perform for us all.

We congratulated our Canta Maths students from Kahikatea.

We celebrated classroom award recipients.

And we also had our homegrown heroes recognised!

Our homegrown heroes this week are:

Poppy - for her dedication, commitment, and talent to Rhythmic Gymnastics. This has seen her announced as a member of the Canterbury team heading to Nationals in Palmerston North!

Hunter - for an awesome first season of rugby union! At the Rolleston Rugby prize giving at the weekend, he was awarded the most improved in his team and also the most improved junior for the whole junior club!

Anika - our fantastic youth worker plays rugby for Lincoln Uni and League for Hornby Panthers and has made it into the Canterbury women's league squad!

Mrs Bambry and Ms Baxter - for their success at netball! Their Rolleston Netball team took out the Social 2 division at Selwyn!
