WOW!!!! Time is flying by again, and I can't believe we are entering the last few weeks of Term 1. Please keep a close eye on communications as I am aware a few events are coming up......including the Tough Kids Challenge which I love participating in.
Colour Your Day - E Tū Tāngata
Today is Colour Your Day, where we celebrate E Tū Tāngata movement throughout New Zealand. Like many schools around the country, we have embraced the pillars of E Tū Tāngata - You Have Value, We Succeed Together & Others Matter. These values are central to what we want to achieve for our amazing students, staff and community while at Te Ahi Kaikōmako Rolleston School. I look forward to seeing bright, happy colours on display today.
Teaching & Learning Update - Pōhutukawa
We are well through the process of appointing two new teachers in the Pōhutukawa area of the school. With Mrs Thompson (8B5) retiring and Miss Tuatini (8B4) travelling at the end of this term we have two opportunities to fill. We will update you all on our progress within the next two weeks.
Easter Weekend
We are heading into the Easter Holiday period. As this is the first time in a few years that Easter has fallen outside of the Term 1 break here is a reminder of the days that all schools in New Zealand will be closed:
Reminder: 2024-2026 Strategic Plan
Our 2024-2026 Strategic Plan has been published on our school website for your information. This plan can also be accessed via the link below:
Reminder: Property Upgrade - Behind Studio Blocks
Over the next few weeks, temporary fencing will be established behind the Studio Blocks (Studio 1 - Studio 12) in preparation to improve the pathways and access points. The current limestone chip, which is prone to pooling water will be replaced with concrete pathways.
Have a great weekend.
Cheers
Simon
