Koru Games

The Koru Games is a three day South Island multi-sport tournament for year 7 and 8’s run by The Selwyn Sports Trust. Games are held over Selwyn with hubs in Rolleston, Lincoln and Prebbleton. There are over 500 teams entered in 18 different sports. We are very excited and lucky to have this event on our back door step.
Our year 7 and 8 students have organised their own teams of friends and found Mum’s, Dad’s and Grandparents to manage and coach them throughout the tournament.
The games are based on friendships and fair play. Our team’s aim this year is to strive for the John F. Reid trophy - the Spirit of the Games Trophy. This will be given to one team in the tournament who “demonstrates the true spirit of the games”.
