This week we had 3 days of trips to our local marae - a very special place to learn Te Reo, Tikanga and local history.

The interaction amongst our students (older ones helping younger) & genuine interest/respect was something to be very proud of.

We highly value our relationship with Ngāti Wairere and would again like to acknowledge the support of Matua Ted (kaumatua) & Whaea Ihipera (Marae Chair, and also Te Ao Mārama Board Member) for their generous support.

Thank you also to our kaiako (teaching and support team, including our trainee teachers), Whaea Louisa (Sandra's Mum) and our other supporters that made this possible.

What a special place for our students to be immersed in NZ culture, history and authentic learning.
