Parent/Whānau Survey: Building strong partnerships with our community

Tony Grey —

The Board and school leadership team are very happy with the results of the survey and are extremely grateful to the school community for taking the time to complete it. The 67% response rate is much higher than a school would generally expect and is reflective of the interest/support of our parents.

We have reviewed all responses and have summarised the main threads in the infographic below (please click on the link below to see the full infographic).

We were pleased to see that 100% of respondents had a positive comment on how they would describe the school to a friend or colleague.  This is a positive endorsement of the work that has been done by staff and families to build relationships.

We also appreciate that many of you have made the decision to move and have comparisons to make with your child’s previous schools (we enrolled students from 32 different schools!).

While the survey highlights how lucky we are to be part of an amazing, innovative school we also have areas to improve and develop. As a board and leadership team, we can be confident that these improvements will be made in the best interests of the school, the community and most importantly with a focus on our learners.

The Te Ao Mārama Board of Trustees would once again like to thank all of the respondents for the time they have taken to give their feedback on the school. It is, after all, your school and it is important you have your say.
