This is a really interesting 3 minute read .... schools such as ours are known as "Innovative Learning Environments".
Our classrooms look very different from those that most parents and staff went to school in.Below is a brilliant short, easy to read summary of the key research to support the shifts in design to these types of classes.
Mark Osborne is a well known educational "guru" and has worked extensively with our team since 2018. Of real note in our school, is our huge focus on the "character and capabilities" (our 5C values - collaborative, creative, curious, community-minded, confident) and the "big 4" design standards for temperature control, ventilation, lighting and acoustics (these are at exceptionally high standards, as part of the advantages of being under the Public Private Partnership schooling model)
