Recently we celebrated Te Wiki o te reo Māori (Māori language week) where we celebrated Te Reo Māori. However, in reality this is 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙙𝙤 𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙙𝙖𝙮. 🇳🇿

Right from our establishment as a new school we have made a determined effort to embrace and celebrate Te Reo Māori at Te Ao Mārama.

We are one of a very small number of mainstream schools that receive Māori language funding for each and every child. This funding is used to further bolster our programmes and resources.

As an incredibly diverse school (35 nationalities currently represented) this is something to be very proud of.
