COVID UPDATE – Main changes

Tony Grey —

There have been further changes to the Covid isolation guidelines.

π‡πžπ«πž 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐑𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐒𝐧 𝐜𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬:

- The isolation period for COVID-19 cases and household contacts has been reduced from 10 to 7 days.

- We currently have 71 staff/students that are in the groups above, and this will mean that some of our more recent cases may return to school on Monday 14th March, if they are symptom free.

- Recovered cases will no longer need to self-isolate if they become a household contact within 90 days after having the virus.

- Household Contacts will need to have a rapid antigen test (RAT) at day 3 and day 7 of their isolation period. If they become symptomatic they should also get a test, and if the result is positive, they are required to isolate for seven days from that point.

- If a person is isolating and still has symptoms after 7 days, they are advised to stay home until 24 hours after symptoms resolve.

- Please remember to contact us at school if your child tests positive, and also to report their rapid antigen test result on My Covid Record.
