Welcome to 2025!

Tony Grey —

Tēnā koutou katoa me ngā mihi i runga i ngā tūāhuatanga o te wā, kua hipa te tau | greetings to you all as we start a new school year.

We’re pleased to share our first newsletter of 2025, Whiria te Tāngata. This whakataukī, gifted to our school, means "Weave the people together," and it perfectly reflects the spirit of our community.

On Monday, we will welcome 454 students to school — an increase from the 117 students who joined us on our very first day in 2019. A particularly warm welcome goes out to the many new students (x46) and families who have joined the Te Ao Mārama community this year.

We will also welcome 24 international students from China and Korea who will be studying at our school for the next 2-5 weeks.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s whānau teacher or our friendly team in the office.
