Tony Grey —

Kia ora koutou e te whānau

Firstly (and most importantly) I sincerely hope that you and your family are doing okay, as we yet again face this ongoing challenge, and the roller coaster of emotions it can create.

As you will be well aware, unfortunately Level 3 has been further extended until at least 11.59pm, Wednesday, October 27.

Our school Whakatauki (Māori proverb) – Whiria te tāngata means to weave the people together, and never has this been more appropriate as our staff, students and parents together face this challenge.

The most important thing right now is to focus on the wellbeing of your family. This clearly remains an uncertain time for all of us, but rest assured our united team are here to provide support and persevere through this.

Our ICE Time (home based learning) is available on our website – www.teaomarama.school.nz as an option to assist keeping kids active, interested and engaged during this time. Please see further information about this later in this newsletter.

We wish you all the best, and when the time is right, we look forward to welcoming all our tamariki back with smiles.
