New Members to our Team

Melissa Langley —

A warm welcome to Kyla Kerby and Marina Rameka. Marina and Kyla will both work part time as specialist arts teachers. We look forward to the fabulous skills that they offer.

Kyla

Kia Ora koutou! Warm greetings to families and friends of Te Ao Mārama school.

My name is Kyla Kerby. I have been teaching in Hamilton for many years and am returning after a bit of time away raising my family. I enjoy working with primary children of all ages and stages. My special interests include The Arts and Mathematics and I love to read children’s stories (and write them too!)

My husband’s name is Ryan and we have four young children, aged one, four, six, and seven. The things I love most are, my family, the beach, books, camping, food, dance, sitting by a fire, taking photos, and exploring new places.

I am so excited to be joining the wonderful team at Te Ao Mārama and sharing my love of The Arts! I look forward to getting to know you all soon.

Marina

Kia Ora Koutou, my name is Marina Rameka and I am excited to be joining the Te Ao Mārama teaching team this term.

I began my teaching career in 2003 and I have a real passion and energy for teaching and learning collaboratively with students. In particular, I’m inspired to engage students through creativity and the Arts.

My current job at Aberdeen Primary allows me to specialise in the Arts through Visual Art and Dance, and I am really looking forward to adding to my teaching and learning kete as I begin teaching at Te Ao Mārama.

I love spending time with my hubby and 3 daughters. As a family, we are very passionate about Dance and performance, we also love to get away to the beach and explore NZ and its diverse landscapes. In my spare time, I enjoy Yoga and Painting.

I am looking forward to meeting the Te Ao Mārama community and sharing a love of learning with tamariki.
