Donating Hair for Charity
During the school holidays, one of our amazing Tūī Tahi students, Ivy, chose to donate her hair to a charity that produces wigs for cancer patients.
I didn't decIde to cut my hair to keep it healthy and fresh. I decided to cut my hair for a greater cause! The Cancer Society seemed to be the perfect place to donate my hair to. The Cancer society, (if you don't already know) is a charity that you can donate your hair to if your hair is 36cm or longer, luckily my hair was 37cm! With the hair they make wigs for people with cancer to help them feel important, special and beautiful! I am proud of myself for helping someone in need and hope I inspire others to donate also.

We think this is an incredible thing for an 8 year old to do!
