Hui-ā-whānau (Student – Parent -Teacher meetings)

Tony Grey —

Our hui-ā-whānau (Parent-Student-Teacher Meetings) are taking place on Tuesday 21st & Wednesday 22nd June.

Note: For Kāhu Rua students/parents – please refer to a separate email with later dates and a different booking code

Our Hui-ā-whānau is a meeting where our students will meet with you and their teacher(s) to share their learning, progress, goals and achievement.

At the end of 2021 we shared an important message for our parents (click link) where we explained why we were retaining students’ mid 2021 achievement levels for the end of 2021 as well (due to Term 3 & 4 being heavily affected by Covid). It is important to note that this decision was also in line with Ministry of Education guidance.

Because this is the first time we have been able to hold our Hui face to face and also the first time we’ve shared up to date achievement levels since mid-2021, we will be running these slightly differently.

Our teachers will look to lead the initial part of the sessions, before your children are then encouraged to share other parts of their learning. Please use the scheduler link below to book your time for Hui-ā-whānau:

Note: the sessions are scheduled 15 minutes apart, but this is just to allow time for the teachers to spend part of the Hui-ā-whānau with you. The timeframe will often be longer depending on how much your child wishes to share with you.

There will be free childcare available in Te Aroha (library/office area) for those that require it, to enable both parents/caregivers to attend.

We look forward to seeing you
