Tony Grey —

Kia ora koutou.

There’s a lot going on around school at present and this pānui (newsletter) certainly reflects that!

Increased levels of winter illnesses at the start of term are a common trend and when coupled with COVID-19, these can put significant pressure on our school and community.

Touch wood, the anticipated second wave of COVID hasn’t affected us too much (I sincerely hope this lasts!) and we have only had a small number of student/staff cases this term (we will continue to advise you if there are a few cases within a classroom within a short timeframe).

The Ministries of Education/Health have advised that mask wearing has no doubt helped to minimise the spread of illness. From next week masks are still recommended, but will be a decision for you and your child/ren.

With our roll about to head over 450, it is great to see our new playground areas being completed (please refer to separate article). Our gratitude to the Board of trustees for funding these new additions.
