Hukanui Marae Trip
Later this term (28/29th November & 2nd December), we will be taking all of our students to our local Hukanui Marae.
Each day we will take a third of our students from each of the 3 learning communities (Approx. 80 students per trip)
We will be welcomed with a Pōwhiri, and then learn about the history of the marae, local area and Ngāti Wairere. Following this, students will take part in a variety of learning activities e.g. Māori art, kapa haka, weaving etc
Each day we will be travelling by bus, departing at 8.40am and returning to school by 1.30pm. Parents/whānau are welcome to join us, and your child’s teachers will advise which day your child is attending.
