Please be on time

Te Ao Mārama Teaching Team —

This term we have noticed a lot of students arriving after our morning has started at 8.40am, and we would really like some parental support here please.

Research shows that students who are regularly absent or late to school are more likely to have gaps in their learning making it more difficult to keep up with their peers.

The morning is an important part of the class learning programme where the teachers and students come together for whānau time and discuss the expectations, learning and goals for the day, check in on wellbeing, focus on our values and teamwork etc. Arriving late at school is disruptive for your child, and for the rest of the class.

We urge your support here please. The ideal time to arrive at school is between 8.20am and 8.30am. We do appreciate that sometimes 'life' means that you may be late, but for some students this is becoming a regular pattern.
