Tony Grey —

Kia ora koutou e te whānau. It’s been great to see the kids and staff back, reconnecting and enjoying school again!

We would like to acknowledge your support over the last few weeks. We know how tricky it is to juggle looking after your whānau and working from home.

Just a reminder please around a few of the Level 2 guidelines:

During Level 2 we are unable to hold any large school events. This includes the Te Ao Mārama has Got Talent, which will be rescheduled when we are back at Level 1.

To avoid congestion at the end of the day, teachers will be bringing students out to the pick-up. Parents – please wait here, maintaining physical distancing & masks are encouraged.

  •  Pūkeko & Kererū students to be picked up at 2.25pm
  •  Kāhu and Tūī students to be picked up at 2.30pm

Clearly there are not enough carparks for 400 students to be picked up at the same time. Please consider parking around the many side streets/park and walking to school to collect your child(ren). This will be a lot smoother and faster for you, than trying to use the main carpark. If you choose to use the main carpark, we urge patience, kindness and support.

Parents are only to enter the school if you really have to (e.g. new entrant students on first days, collecting a sick child)

You will need to be recorded on our Contact Tracing registers. Pūkeko will have their own register. All other parents need to head to the office & sign in before entering school.

Masks/Face coverings – children and staff do not need to wear face coverings because other public health measures will be in place.
