We are already half way through the term, and once again there have been many wonderful events and opportunities for our learners.

Yesterday we received confirmation of the planned strike for both primary and secondary teachers across New Zealand.

We had 3 wonderful days at Hukanui Marae last week with all our students spending half a day there.

This week, our Kāhu students took part in the "Kids on Bikes" programme, run by the Hamilton City Council.

Since day #1 (January 2019) our team has grown rapidly, with over 45 team members now.

Registrations are now open on Kindo for Netball & Hockey. Both sports run through Terms 2 & 3.

It was lovely to see so many parents at our recent Hui-ā-whānau (Parent-Student-Teacher Meetings). We have had over 95% of our families attend which was fantastic.

We are pleased to announce that our team is growing, with the appointment of two additional Inclusive Learning Assistants.

We had a fantastic time celebrating World Dr. Seuss Day on 2nd March.

Te Ao Mārama is fortunate to host International students from around the world and now that borders have opened, we are starting to receive further interest in this area.

Hamilton City Council is reaching out to parents to find out what should be included in the school travel plan that will address the needs and concerns of our school community.

Thank you to those families who used active transport solutions on Wednesday & sent their child to school on bikes, scooters, skateboards, or their legs 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

We have noticed an increasing number of students arriving very early to school in the morning and staying late. Just a reminder that we do not expect to see any students prior to 8am, or after 2.40pm.

We raised just less than $1,500 for our Cyclone Fundraiser!! A massive thank you to all our whānau who purchased ice-blocks, made a koha via Kindo, or sent in a donation.
