As our first school year draws to a close it is important that we celebrate our learners and their successes.

Next Tuesday, 26 November, is Funky Hairy Day. Come to school with your most creative, craziest, funkiest hair 'do and a gold coin donation.

This Friday, 22nd November, will be our first Athletics Fun day.

Our Giving Tree is up in the office. This term we are supporting the Waikato branch of Women's Refuge.

Saturday 7 December is our Community Service Day at Hospice Waikato and we welcome all members of our school community to join us.

The next time you pop in to school, you may notice the new mural we have installed in the entry foyer. This mural was designed by Te Aukaha Haupai Rāwiri Puke (Grandson of Hare Puke – kaumātua of Ngāti Wairere).

Over the next month we will begin drafting our class placement for next year. If your child is moving schools, we would appreciate you contacting us ASAP so we can factor this in. Also, if you know of people intending on enrolling (in zone only), please have them contact us.

It's time for students to be wearing hats outside every day. Please make sure your child has a named hat in their school bag. Applying sunscreen in the morning is a good idea as well. We have sunscreen in the learning spaces so children can reapply for the afternoon.

Later this term (28/29th November & 2nd December), we will be taking all of our students to our local Hukanui Marae.

Congratulations to our inaugural Te Ao Mārama Golf Team who competed in the Waikato Primary-Intermediate Golf Championships held at the Ngāhinepouri Golf Club recently.
