Board of Trustees
At our most recent board meeting Sally Grylls-Thomas (Deputy Principal) presented an analysis of the 2019 achievement results in the core areas of reading, writing and maths.
Our team is growing! This term we have had a number of new staff join our school. The addition of extra teaching staff means that we have been able to maintain very low class sizes, which we are delighted about. As a new school with rapid growth this is sometimes hard to plan for, but we are appreciative of the support from the Ministry of Education and the strong relationship we have with them. Our Board of trustees have also committed a lot of additional funding for inclusive learning, to support the learning, behavioural, social/emotional, health needs of our learners.
“Have you done your homework?” ~ One of those questions which can cause awful tension between parents and their children. As a school we’ve done our own homework on the matter to ensure that we take an evidence-based approach to any decisions around what we will do….and as importantly what we don’t do.

Many of you will be aware that three of the five cases of COVID-19 confirmed in New Zealand have had links to four school communities. We appreciate this could be unsettling for some of you so wanted to provide you with an update.

This Friday, 13th March. Bring along a picnic or pick up some takeaways. It will be a very informal get together and chance to meet others. Whiria te tāngata ~ Weave the people together
Please remember to let us know if your child is away from school. It is really important that we know by 8.30am on the same day, if possible.
