Our students are so friendly and welcoming to the many visitors we host. We have recently set up a large group of kaitiaki (trustee/guardian/host) to welcome our guests and show them around the classroom. Students from all 3 teams were invited to join this group.
Last week, we hosted Andrew Jones (a colleague/friend from Australia) for a professional workshop around leadership. Here is some of the comments received by the visitors as they wandered our school:
"Lots and lots of smiles!"
"Amazingly friendly kids!"
"The classes feel like a house, with such a beautiful feel. Some students working in bedroom type relaxed environments, others in a living room type space"
"Children are being highly creative in their spaces. It is clear that teachers have also been creative and reflective and had time for blue sky thinking."
