Changes to Red Light Settings

Tony GreyMarch 24, 2022

From next week, there are some changes to the traffic light system that will affect our school.

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐛𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠:

  • Scanning in using the COVID QR code is no longer needed (but visitors still need to sign in at the office in the usual manner)

  • Masks are not required to be worn outdoors at dropoff/pickup times (𝘩𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘴𝘰 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩)

It is important to note that we are still in the Red setting (𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥𝘶𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 4𝘵𝘩 𝘈𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘭)

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬:

  • Masks for years 4 and above (including Tūī Rua)
  • Monitor your child’s health very carefully, and keep them home if they show any symptoms
  • Isolate for 7 days if there is a COVID case in your household
  • Staggered break times to reduce playground congestion
  • Designated pickup areas at 2.30pm (𝘕𝘰𝘵𝘦: 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘬 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵-𝘙𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨)
