Whiria te tāngata - 22 March

New Staff

We’re delighted to announce that this term our team has grown once again, with a two great people being appointed.

Nikki Megaffin will join Pūkeko Tahi at the start of Term 2 as part of the roll growth. Jess Newman has been employed to provide some additional booster support in literacy/maths and also social/emotional support for some of our younger tamariki.

Nikki Megaffin

Kia ora,
My name is Nikki Megaffin and I am extremely grateful to be part of the Te Ao Mārama family and embrace its diverse culture.
I began my teaching career in early childhood eleven years ago and it is an honour to bring the knowledge I have with me to this inclusive and forward thinking school. I love watching children succeed, grow and achieve their personal goals. I enjoy hands on experiences, creativity, meaningful relationships and a positive working and learning environment.
I am married with two beautiful girls aged five and two, with our eldest attending Te Ao Mārama. We value spending quality time with family and friends, travel and adventure.
I look forward to meeting and working alongside you and your family in our community.
Nikki Megaffin

Jess Newman

Kia ora koutou katoa, ko Jess ahau.
I am so excited to be a part of the team at Te Ao Mārama, working with groups of students across the school.
I have been teaching for around 13 years across a range of year levels in the Waikato, with a brief stint in the UK. I love helping students to be successful and confident in their learning, particularly in literacy.
When I'm not teaching I enjoy being a wedding florist, reading, playing golf (really badly), the gym, and travelling.
I am really looking forward to working with the amazing kaiako and students here.
