International Student Homestay

Te Ao Mārama is fortunate to host International students from around the world and now that borders have opened, we are starting to receive further interest in this area.

International students come for different lengths of time. Some may come for 1 or 2 weeks, or a school term, and some may intend to stay for longer.

We are seeking applications from families who may be interested in hosting an overseas student. The weekly homestay fee for hosting International students is $280.

If you are interested in applying to be a Te Ao Mārama Homestay family, please contact our International Student Manager, Sally Grylls-Thomas, for further information: sally@teaomarama.school.nz

Hosting an international student can be a very rewarding experience and is a great opportunity to meet new people and learn about other cultures.

Support The Cake Detective in the One Good Kiwi initiative

Every swipe counts!

We're excited to share that The Cake Detective has been nominated for the One Good Kiwi initiative!

This is an incredible opportunity for us to secure funding to continue donating cakes to children going through hardship.

Here's how it works: One Good Kiwi is giving away $100k in funding to grassroots charities largely based around youth, and you get to decide where the money goes. All you have to do is download the app and watch our short clip. Then, swipe your green tokens up to vote for The Cake Detective and help us get our share of the funding.

So what do you say? Will you download the One Good Kiwi app and swipe up to vote for The Cake Detective? Together, we can spread sweetness and joy to children in need.

Thank you for your support!
