A final word from Tony – 2020 What a year!

Tony GreyDecember 9, 2020

Next week we finish the school year, and it’s fair to say what a surreal year it has been. School years always seem to go by quickly, but it’s hard to grasp fully what has just transpired during 2020.

Our schoolwide vision is to INSPIRE CHALLENGE & EMPOWER, and to develop learners that are confident, curious, collaborative, creative & community-minded. The global pandemic was a timely reminder of the importance of our vision and values, and general approach to teaching and learning.

Despite the challenges that 2020 posed, I am immensely proud of how our staff, whānau, & students supported each other in extraordinary circumstances, and continued to ensure we maintain a culture of togetherness and learning.

I wish you and your whānau a safe and happy holiday, and hopefully a chance to relax & rejuvenate.

To those whose children are finishing at Te Ao Mārama, we wish you all the best for the future, and to those returning in 2021, we look forward to seeing you next year.
