Principal Post - week 5

Jenny Washington —

Mōhiotanga: Insightful. He tangata kī tahi. A person of a single word.

The Canterbury Primary Principals Conference was a few days ago and one of the speakers was Lucy Hone. If you ever get an opportunity to hear her speak it’s certainly worth the time. Lucy is an academic researcher working in the field of resilience. At the conference her focus was on well being and character strengths. She writes regularly for local papers and submits articles to online news.

We would like to farewell Julie Thompson who has been working at Roydvale for seven and a half years as a Teacher Aide supporting our children as an English Language Learning Assistant. We have valued her contribution as a support staff member. We wish Julie all the very best in her business ventures.
