Arbor Day at Te Ara Maurea Roydvale School
On Friday last week Te Ara Maurea Roydvale School were lucky enough to have the Arborists from Beaver Tree Service visit our kura.
We had Mitchell and Belinda talk to Homeroom 11 about what Arborists do and told us more about the native plants they had gifted us with. The children were especially excited about the Lophomyrtus Red Dragon plant because some students thought that the plant actually grew red dragons!
Beaver Tree Service along with The Little Big Tree company gifted us with 9 different native plants in total. The students in Homeroom 11 were able to go outside with Mitchell and Belinda and plant our new plants around our school. Everyone was super excited to have this opportunity and we thank Beaver Tree Service for their donation to our kura!
Be sure to come and have a look at our new natives; around by the front gate and by Homerooms 1, 2, 5 and 6.
