Farewell Miss McBreen-Smith
By Ollie K, Olivia C, Yiting, Thoma, Tanay, and Jaimee.
Sadly Miss McBreen-Smith is leaving for the rest of 2023. She will be coming back in the beginning of 2024, which means that this term is the last time the year 6's will see her. She was a memorable teacher in the Kāhu team, and we will all miss her greatly when she leaves. Here is what some of the children in Kāhu want to say to our wonderful Miss McBreen-Smith and what some memories with her were…
Emily C: “I loved going to camp with her and having the talent show. I will really miss her because she was nice, and she would always let us go to morning tea early.”
Yiting S: “Miss McBreen-Smith has been my teacher in Room 2 and I have been in her literacy class for both year 5 & 6. She is kind and in literacy she always tells us specifically what to do. I will miss Miss McBreen-Smith and I hope she'll have an amazing trip.”
Jaimee: “I'm really going to miss your bright smile when I walk into the room every day.
Tanay: "I will really miss you because the year 6s only have 1 week to see you and have an amazing and safe trip."
Gracie: "I always loved having you as my literacy teacher because you always let us out for morning tea early. And you always made the lessons fun. Plus we will not see you again for two terms (the rest of the year) and the year 6s will not see you again unless they come and see you at the school next year."
We really don't want you to go, the year 6´s are going to miss you because they will never see Miss McBreen-Smith again but the year fives are still going to be sad but at least they get to see her again next year.
We hope you have a fun time in Europe and the other places you're going. We really want to go with you. Thank you for being a great teacher. We all loved having you for half a year.
