Year 7 Learning Tāhuhu Term 1

Larisha Toomey —

What a fantastic start the Year 7 ākonga have had.

Kia ora e te whānau.

The year has started off fantastically, our Tāhuhu Year 7 ākonga have been working really hard and the learning conversations happening within the classes are powerful.

We are focusing on creative writing, measurement and time, as well as looking into New Zealand History this term. Students put their work on their websites so please ask them to show you what they have been up to.

What students are saying:

“Our learning has been successful so far this year and we have been moving forward with our learning.” Jojo Erickson.

“It’s pretty good, because most people are doing their learning.” Yohannas Sutton.

And the principal, Mr Edmundson, adds:

“It is always a pleasure to be walking around the school and see all the smiling faces in Yr 7 happily learning. A great start to 2021 and LCŌ. And if it is that good now, which it is, imagine how much even more so next year in 2022 in our beautiful new Te Aratai College!”
