Ola all! My name is Samantha Boyce-Da Cruz and i have the honour of being the year 11 Dean this term. I have two children who are 10 and 7. My husband is from Brazil, hence the huge last name. We have been back to Brazil a few times. in my younger years i was a avid traveller and enjoyed immersing myself in other cultures, but Aotearoa has always been home, I am also Head of Department in Drama, run Theatre sports, and help Mr Russell with the choir.
Mr Ikahihifo has entrusted me with pastoral care of his year 11 students while he is taking on a Deputy Principal role this term. This has been an amazing opportunity so far, and has given me the ability to get to know the year 11 group much better. Many of out students in the year 11 are seeing the importance of gaining as many credits as possible before exam season starts. This is wise, and we here at Linwood College are all about our students reaching their full potential.
I look forward to getting to know even more of our students throughout the year.
