Te Aratai College was represented by our 2022 Pasifika Prefects Noeline Laufiso and Fane Ngauamo.

The 2022 Emerging Leaders Celebration took place on Friday 4th November at Haere Roa, University of Canterbury.

It was lovely to recognise the Pasifika student leadership throughout Canterbury Secondary Schools. Dr Helena Cook, the keynote speaker, and lecturer at UC, promoted the importance and value of connecting and keeping culture and identity throughout schooling and leadership endeavours.

This was fitting as both Noeline and Fane throughout the year have demonstrated strong leadership and service within Te Aratai, while also advocating and role modelling strong Pasifika values as recognised at our Senior Prizegiving.

We wish both Noeline and Fane all the very best as they pursue their studies within the Health sector in 2023.
