Linwood College leader presents at ULearn Educational Conference.

Jacqueline Yoder —

Jacqueline Yoder, one of the Acting Assistant Principals, has recently returned from presenting at the ULearn Conference in Auckland.

This year Jacqueline was selected as one of five New Zealanders to be a CORE Education E-fellow for 2018. The fellowship involved a year-long, funded action research project exploring culturally responsive approaches to Gifted and Talented at Linwood College. Across the year, Jacqueline attended hui with her fellowship group and CORE coaches around the country.  This culminated in a final presentation of the action research findings at the ULearn Conference in the October school holidays. This conference is attended by over 1500 delegates and provides powerful innovation and change professional learning for those in the education sector. Next year, Jacqueline will continue to develop the strategic plan for GATE at Linwood College using the valuable research gathered through her CORE E-fellowship.
