Tāhuhu Dean's Report

Robbie Timo —

Greetings students, teachers and parents.

We hope this newsletter finds you in good spirits and excited for the latest updates from the Tāhuhu Department at Te Aratai College! It's been a fantastic term so far.

Respecting Our Teachers:

Manaakitanga is one of the foundations of our school's uara and we are delighted to see our students wholeheartedly embracing this value. We take immense pride in the respectful behaviour our students display towards our dedicated teachers and staff members. This positive atmosphere fosters a healthy teacher-student relationship, making our college a nurturing and supportive learning community.

Wearing Our School Uniform with Pride:

Our school uniform represents our collective identity, and we encourage all students to wear it with pride. By doing so, we display a sense of unity and belonging, fostering a school culture that values both individuality and teamwork.

Upcoming Events:

In Tāhuhu we will be going on a field trip to the Air Force Museum. This trip will take place on August 23rd from 11:00 am til 13:00 pm. All of Tāhuhu will be attending. There is also the winter sports tournament next Monday & Tuesday. Our basketball, football, netball, hockey & rugby league teams will be competing with other schools.

Wā Whakanui and Academic Conferences:

We highly encourage parents and guardians to attend the upcoming parent-teacher conferences. These meetings offer an excellent chance to discuss your child's progress, strengths, and areas for improvement, as well as to address any concerns or questions you may have.

Final Thoughts:

The Te Aratai College Tahuhu Department is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all our students. We appreciate the ongoing support from parents, teachers, and the wider community, which plays a vital role in creating a holistic educational experience.

Thank you for your continued involvement and enthusiasm in making our school a place of growth and excellence. If you have any questions or suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Tofa soifua,

Mr. Timo
