Linwood College Volleyball

Vicki Tanner —

Volleyball is going strong at Linwood College with a successful season for all players.

The Junior Girls had a successful season this term winning all but one of their games. This was a fine effort considering the team was mostly Year 9 girls who had not played school volleyball before.

The Junior Boys had a huge team of enthusiastic young men. Like the girls, most of them were newcomers to school volleyball and represented Linwood College admirably. They had a great season and plenty of fun along the way.

The Senior Girls and Senior Boys both played in the Premier grade, so came up against some pretty tough competition. They all performed well under the pressure and grew their skills with every game played. Both teams have a lot of promising young players who are dedicated to developing their volleyball skills.

The future of volleyball at Linwood College is looking very bright. We have had record numbers of students signing up to play this year. Students are playing regularly on the field and in the gym at Friday lunchtimes. Thanks to all the coaches: Paul Hoffman, Marco Guglietta, Scott Kyle and Vicki Tanner.
