Students give positive feedback on the use of Chromebooks in their learning at Linwood College.

In 2018 Linwood College begun the stepped increase of students bringing their own Chromebook to school. We strongly recommend all Year 7-9 students bring their own Chromebook in 2018. By 2019 all Year 7-10 students are required to bring their own Chromebook. For Linwood College the device best suited to our needs and gives best quality and price the preferred device is the Acer C731 Quadcore Chromebook. Families can either purchase their own or from PB Tech Computers Ltd.

Buying from PB Tech Computers Ltd means the ACER chromebook is bought on-line or at their Christchurch megastore in Sockburn, delivered to school and set up ready for use within about 5 days. Total price $542.00. The chromebook comes in a bundle that includes everything - there is nothing else to worry about. The bundle includes ACER C731 Quadcore Chromebook with 4GB RAM, 3 year Warranty, 3 year loss and damage insurance, carry case and the GMC (the Google education license) for the device.
