All You Can Eat Pizza

Amelia Painter —

At the end of Term 3 we had a celebratory lunch for students who had gained 200 hiranga points.

Hiranga points are part of our school wide reward system and are given out to students for being caught consistently doing the right thing in class and around our grounds. They are given out by teachers, support staff, sports coaches - anyone associated with our school. Hiranga means excellence.

Every three weeks students cash in their hiranga points for canteen vouchers. In addition to this, students who gained 200 points were invited to a shared pizza lunch and were allowed to bring a friend to celebrate with. We ordered a few too many pizzas and most students left with lots of extra pieces to either take home or share with more friends.

Congratulations to the following for recieving so many points:

Zach Derham, Seema Verma, Charles Uasi, Jakob Rhodes, Murunui Moana, Abelardo Jr Martin, Isis-Anne Carruth, Justyn Brown, Kingston Haenga, Dante Carruth, Charlotte Williams, Dante Kohi, Vika Tongaonevai, and Te Rina Babbington.

All of these students gained a minimum of $20 of canteen vouchers. Kingston, who currently has the highest number of hiranga points has earned $35 worth of canteen vouchers! Well done everyone. Our reward system continues for the remainder of the year.
