This award recognises excellence and the importance of trades training in Aotearoa.

The Prime Minister's Vocational Excellence award has been awarded to Blake Stiles. Blake has excelled in his construction courses at school and also as part of a dual enrollment at the Ara Institute of Technology. 

Blake has also been offered a full-time apprenticeship with a great local company, John Garlick Builders. This is through the LCŌ Gateway programme. 

This award comes with a cash prize for Blake to use on starting his career in the construction industry.
