Recently, a highly successful hangi evening was held at Linwood College for our Māori learners, their whānau and our wider community.

Learners from across Te Reo Māori courses at Linwood College were fully immersed in the planning, preparation and serving of all aspects of the hangi. Ms Taryn Hopkin's Year 9 class were particularly involved, integrating many curriculum areas including numeracy and literacy into the process.

The evening itself was fantastic with a large group of learners, whānau and friends of Linwood College enjoying the beautiful kai from our new kai cookers and a chance to have a relaxing korero together. We look forward to many more of these events in the future.
