Our runner up to the Dux for 2021 was Kaye Maravilla. The Dux, awarded to our top academic student, went to Boadicea Lynch.

This year Kaye Maravilla, our Proxime Accessit recipient, achieved an Excellence endorsement at NCEA Level 2, as well as three subject endorsements with Merit and an Excellence endorsement. She is currently on track for an overall Excellence endorsement for NCEA Level 3. This year she was awarded First Place in Statistics, First Place in English Literature and also received the Literary Cup Award.

Boadicea Lynch, our Dux recipient, has been the kind of student who was willing to help anyone. She spent many hours throughout her time here at LCŌ helping other students to solve difficult maths equations or chatting with new students to make them feel more at ease. As a senior, she has achieved an Excellence endorsement for NCEA Level 1 and 2. In Level 1 she was awarded six subject endorsements with Merit and at Level 2 she was awarded three Excellence and three Merit endorsements for her subjects. She is currently on track for an overall Excellence endorsement for NCEA Level 3. This year she was also awarded Second Place in English Literature, First Equal in Physics, First Place in Chemistry and First Place in Biology.

Well done to our top academic senior students for 2021, an outstanding achievement in a difficult year. We wish all the best to Kaye and Boadicea for their future endeavours.
