Golden Key Mentoring
Over the past few months, eleven of our students have been taking part in a one-to-one mentoring programme with University of Canterbury students from the Golden Key mentoring association.
During the mentoring sessions, the mentors and mentees worked on projects based on personal interests.
Yesterday the eleven students; Ashley Hudson, Sandee Sese, Sheyford Jarden, Tiffany Phan, Rodney Loto'Alahi, Bob Cuizon, Naiyumi Busgano, Ruby Bright-Daley, Seth Taleni, Shaniya Prasad and Malakai Tahaafe presented their projects to their families as well as members of our school community. The projects were presented in a variety of ways; computer animation, minecraft, paper mache, small scale models and display boards.
It was a fantastic afternoon where the audience were able to learn more about a range of subjects. Thank you to all of the people who worked hard to support our students with their projects and a huge thank you to the students themselves for taking this opportunity and showing that you are Real Learners.
