In Room 2 we have been learning to share our Mihi with each other and celebrate our families.

Within our mihi we acknowledge the mountain and river we identify with the most, where we come from and where we live now, who our whānau are, and finally our name.
We created a family tree in our classroom to display our mihi's and learners have each brought in a photo of their families to display. It has been a wonderful learning experience and learners have enjoyed looking at each other's family photos, having discussions, making connections with each other and understanding more about where we each are from.
