Year 5/6 Woodend Camp
We were super lucky to set off on our annual Year 5-6 Camp on a glorious sunny day, leaving school and heading to the Tuhaitara Coastal Park.
We meandered along the track and beach taking in all the stunning sights and enjoying the fresh sea air.
When we finally arrived at camp that afternoon we settled in for 2 action packed days of activities that challenged and entertained us all. The food was really yummy and we had full and happy bellies every day.
A huge thank you to all our teachers and whānau volunteers who helped us out and helped make Camp 2021 a big success.
" Me mahi tahi tātou, mo te oranga o te katoa" - we should work together for the wellbeing of everyone.
"We did lots of fun activities and the high zip line was one of my favourites" - Hanna
"At camp we did lots of activities including rock climbing, water slide, Go Karts, Zip line, finding clues in the forest, team building and Aero Jump. This was my first time at Camp and I had lots of fun" - Raimi
"Rock climbing is really hard and I learnt that I am really afraid of heights" - Serenaia
"I am looking forward to our next school camp, this was my first time going. To make it even better I would add a pool and a bigger water slide. I found rock climbing the most challenging and team building the least enjoyable" - Pailoni
"I found team building the most enjoyable part of camp, it was cool to work out how to climb and help each other. The water slide was the easiest thing to do and I really liked how it was inclusive" - Raizen
