On Thursday 12th August, our Year 5/6 EPro8 team (made up of Jonas, Ryder, Rome -stepping in for Xander who was away - and Haydn) took part in the EPro8 semi final at Kirkwood Intermediate.

EPro8 is a Science and Engineering challenge where children complete complex tasks and solve various challenges. The team represented Te Kāpehu Riccarton School with pride and demonstrated incredible perseverance and Real Learner assets over the two hours. It was fantastic to see their teamwork and positive encouragement as they worked on the challenges - they even managed to get their land yacht to move across the width of the hall! 

Although the team finished just outside the cut off for the finals they should be very proud of themselves, as we are of them!
