Kāpuka have been very busy at the Garden to Table Programme on Tuesdays.
Each week one of our classes has a session and splits into two groups - one group works in the garden and one works in the kitchen. We are busy at this time of year harvesting fruit and vegetables plus having a big tidy up in the garden.
Our kitchen teams have been learning about safe knife skills and kitchen hygiene while whipping up some yummy treats using the fruit from our trees. Whaea Leslie also spent a session with each class checking on the beehive. It was very exciting to learn how to harvest the honey from our beehive!
