This week in Room 3 we watched a YouTube clip about Ormie the Pig. We used this clip to inspire our writing!

Some of us wrote a recount, some wrote letters to Ormie praising his perseverance, several wrote a personal narrative and someone even wrote a hilarious news report!

Ormie was hangry!

He wanted a cookie out of the cookie jar. He tried so hard to get a cookie! First he tried to use a plunger, but he could not use it... because he was on top of the cupboard! That was so silly!Then he kind of gave up. He sat down and hit the fridge... and the cookie jar fell down on his head! It must have hurt! What I liked best was how Ormie persevered!

Hi! My name is Ormie and I am going to tell you how I tried to get a cookie! I was walking around and I smelled some delicious cookies! I tried and tried and tried to get one! Finally!!!I got one but just when I was about to eat it ... the cookie jar plopped down on my head!

Breaking News!!!

Ormie the Pig just broke out of jail! He went straight to the Cookie Factory, and for ten hours he tried to steal the jar of cookies from the top of the fridge. Finally someone with a crane accidently knocked the cookie jar over! The cookies fell all over the floor! Just when Ormie the Pig was about to eat the cookies, the cops showed up! He started to run! Unfortunately for Ormie, he tripped over... and the cops caught him! But what do you know - he still had one last cookie in his hand and he ate it!
