In Week 8, Team Harakeke explored how we can keep ourselves Sunsmart.

Luckily, Miss Fry had a variety of hats that we were able to use to see which ones kept out the sun. Some of them, like the baseball cap and the pirate hat, kept out very little sun at all.

The best hat was the wide brimmed school hat. Our learners were then able to choose between making a sunmart poster, creating a list, writing a recount or writing a letter to the Sunsmart organisation to ask for some more hats.

It’s great to know we have so many sunsmart learners going into what could be a very hot summer!
