Dear Parents and Caregivers
Thank you to all of our parents and caregivers who came to the learning conferences last week. Education is a partnership and coming to these really adds value to the partnership. If you couldn’t make it to the interview, please take the opportunity to make contact (via the office or directly with the teacher) to meet with your child’s teacher.
Keshia Johnson
The Board of Trustees has accepted a resignation from Keshia Johnson. Keshia will take up a teaching position at a new school in Rangiora called Te Matauru School. This school is a short drive from Keshia's home in North Canterbury and hence will save her a long commute each day. While we are sad to see Keshia go, this is a great opportunity for her to be on an establishment staff of a brand new school.
This position will take effect from the start of Term 4 and we will farewell Keshia at the end of this term. We have started the process of finding a replacement for Keshia.
Welcome to Belinda Thomas in Room 12
We have started a new Year 1 and 2 class in Room 12, the stand-alone room closest to the vegetable garden and chicken coop. This room is due to roll growth and we are very lucky to welcome Belinda Thomas who previously to joining us has been teaching at Tahunahui Primary School in Nelson. Welcome Belinda!
Have a fantastic week and please encourage your children to be respectful, responsible, real learners.
Ngā mihi nui
Paul Irving
